HEMKADE
A New Website for a Warehouse Venue in Zaandam
Hemkade is an indoor and outdoor event venue in an industrial warehouse in Zaandam, with more than three decades of music and nightlife behind it. With its new identity the venue now runs its own events next to hosting others. I designed and built the new website to carry that story.
The agenda is the heart of the site. It reads like a departure board with date, event, line-up and time, and tickets one click away. Past events move to the archive by themselves, so the agenda always shows what is coming up.
Visitors and organisers each get their own route: one for a night out and one for hiring the hall and its spaces. The site is bilingual in English and Dutch, built for mobile and readable for search engines and AI systems, and the Hemkade team updates everything themselves.
